Sacrifice is pain combined with the love of God. There isan enormous difference between the woman who diets and woman whofasts, although they both may lose 15 pounds. But one does it forthe sake of her body, and the other for the sake of her soul…perhapsif we examined our conscience we should discover that we ourselveswere the worst hair shirt out neighbor has to bear.”
